While they have been doing this already for years, it is mandatory to push them even further so that low quality sites, advertisements and spam is curbed. They also predict that even though Bing hasn’t managed to dethrone Google at any point, it will continue to be in the fight and be one of the second ranked search engines to go for.
Richer Content Is PossibleThe year will be the best for clients because Google has been adding a whole lot of new content including snippets, semantic elements, one boxes and knowledge panels to their search results. It allows clients to reach their audience better and reach them with richer content that will engage them on a daily basis.
Mobile and Voice Search Will ImproviseOne of the most interesting aspects of Upcoming SEO News 2015 is the integration of voice search and mobile based results for users. The year is going to be truly next gen where people would prefer searching more on their handheld devices than having to sit on a PC or a Mac to do the job. This would trigger search engines as well as clients to alter their strategy so their products can be found in smartphones and tablets. Voice search is also on the horizon with smart watches which leads to Linguistic user interface LUI which is the first ever change since the debut of graphical user interface GUI.

Google’s Matt Cutts announced on Twitter that they have released version 4.0 of the Google Panda algorithm.
Google’s Panda algorithm is designed to prevent sites with poor quality content from working their way into Google’s top search results.
But didn’t Google stop updating us on Panda refreshes and updates since they are monthly rolling updates? Yes, but this is a bigger update.
Panda 4.0 must be a major update to the actual algorithm versus just a data refresh. Meaning, Google has made changes to how Panda identifies sites and has released a new version of the algorithm today.
Is this the softer and gentler Panda algorithm? From talking to Google, it sounds like this update will be gentler for some sites, and lay the groundwork for future changes in that direction.
Google told us that Panda 4.0 affects different languages to different degrees. In English for example, the impact is ~7.5% of queries that are affected to a degree that a regular user might notice.

Matt Cutts Explains How Google Treats 404 and 410 Status Codes
Wednesday, 30 April 2014
A quick reminder from Matt Cutts on the importance of content in the body of a page. The statement Matt Cutts made was that there is importance of content in the body of a page and not just the header, such as the title tag. If the title tag and meta data do not match the content in the body of the page on some level, that can confuse Google. Matt said make sure the stuff in the header is unique and great but make sure you pay attention to the body of your content ensuring it has unique and great content, as well. It is a very obvious point to most of our readers, but Matt answered this question in a very cute manner, i.e., with his body cropped out.
